DISSIDENCE THREAT TO ALL PARTIES

The dissidents’ threat is looming large over all the major political parties in the district. The aspirants, who were denied of party tickets, have filed their nominations as independents and some others also shifted their loyalty to rival parties. The Telugu Desam Party leaders have raised a banner of revolt against the party for allocating major Assembly segments to the TRS in the district.

The TDP, which had considerable strength and party structure in the district, was forced to contest from only Jagtial, Choppadandi, Karimnagar and Vemulawada Assembly segments.
Irked over this, several TDP aspirants had filed their nominations as independents and some others joined the rival parties.
In protest against the allocation of Manthani Assembly seat to TRS, the TDP leader Chandupatla Sunil Reddy filed his nomination papers as rebel against the TRS candidate R Kanakaiah.
Likewise, in Ramagundam Assembly segment, the TDP leaders S Satyanarayana and Gopu Ilaiah Yadav have filed their nominations as independents in protest against the TRS candidate Chander. On the other hand, TRS leader PT Swami had also filed his nomination as rebel candidate from Ramagundam Assembly segment.
Following the news of allocation of Karimnagar Assembly segment to TDP, the TRS rebels K Devender Rao and S Ravinder Singh had also filed their nomination papers as rebels.
TDP rebel Juvvadi Tirupathi filed his nomination as rebel against the TRS candidate Koppula Eshwar in Dharmapuri Assembly segment.
Though, the Husnabad Assembly seat was allocated to CPI by the Grand Alliance partners, the TRS legislator V Lakshmikantha Rao filed his nomination papers against CPI legislator Chada Venkat Reddy.
TDP aspirant from Karimnagar Assembly segment G Kamalakar had also filed his nomination as a rebel.
The TRS is also facing rebels’ threat. TRS leader KK Mahender Reddy filed his nomination against the official candidate TRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao’s son K Rama Rao from Sircilla Assembly segment.
The rebels were also causing problem to the official candidates in PRP also. Minister for Endowments J Ratnakara Rao is facing rebel threat from Korutla municipal chairperson MA Gafoor in Korutla Assembly segment.
