Amid high drama, TDP candidate Ch Sudhakar Rao, who filed his nomination papers along with party ‘B’ form from the Sircilla Assembly segment, had withdrawn his papers following the instructions given by the party high command on Thursday. The TDP had allocated the Sircilla Assembly segment to the TRS as part of seat sharing among the Grand Alliance parties. Accordingly, TRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao’s son K. Taraka Rama Rao filed his nomination on behalf of the TRS. However, on Monday, the TDP had given ‘B’ form to Ch Sudhakar Rao to file nomination from Sircilla segment. After hectic parleys among the leaders of Grand Alliance, the TDP candidate was forced to withdraw his nomination papers on Thursday. |
