The district Congress leaders have made elaborate arrangements for the success of AICC President Sonia Gandhi’s public meeting at Ambedkar stadium of Karimnagar town on Tuesday. Sonia Gandhi would kick off her electioneering in Karimnagar town by addressing a massive public meeting. Congress candidate from Nizamabad Madhu Yaskhi and Peddapalli MP candidate G. Vivekanand and Ponnam Prabhakar are taking all measures to accord a grand welcome to Sonia Gandhi in the town. In view of severe heat wave conditions, the party leaders have erected shamianas to protect people from the scorching sun. In the meantime, the Special Protection Group (SPG) in coordination with the district police have made unprecedented security arrangements for the meeting by deploying additional police forces. Already, three helicopters have made trial runs and the SPG personnel have inspected the venue and dais. |
